This measure captures the number of properties demolished by the City or By Owner that are in breech of orders or pose an immediate threat to life safety. Property owners are provided opportunities to comply by appearing before the Unsafe Structures Panel to request an extension of time. By capturing the number of demolitions we can identify trends as it relates to compliance. It serves as a critical indicator of the effectiveness of enforcement processes and the responsiveness of building owners to regulatory obligations. This data is key for ensuring building safety.
