This metric reflects the HUD-defined count of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness in the City of Miami. It is used for system-level planning, HUD and Homeless Trust reporting, and prioritization within Coordinated Entry.
Data is pulled directly from HMIS using chronic homeless status, current living situation (CLS), disability information, and system-calculated length of time homeless. Chronicity is automatically determined by HMIS based on HUD criteria. Staff support accuracy through standard CLS and engagement entries.
